Location: Hallandale Beach, United States

  • Realisation of a 33 m high and 60 m long Pegasus bronze sculpture
  • Processing and shaping of 250 t bronze and 400 t steel in a 2-year construction period
  • Sculpture created using 1,250 individual bronze pieces, each approx. 3 m² in size and weighing 200 kg, which were joined together around a steel construction like a 3D puzzle

Requirements

  • Provision of the required working and access levels in order to facilitate the assembly, welding and finishing work on 1,250 bronze parts on site to form a larger-than-life sculpture
  • Flexible scaffold adjustment to match the complex, organic form - continuously following the erection progress
  • Large-span bridging for non-load bearing parts of the building
